Toyota Kata
Development
Programme
This online course is for trainers and consultants who want to learn how to coach and instruct their staff or clients on Toyota Kata thinking and principles.
What makes this course different?
Our ‘train the trainer’ programme stands out from other Toyota Kata courses because it combines access to one of the best kata trainers and experts, Tilo Schwarz, with coaching sessions with your peers and an experienced kata coach.
You’ll benefit from the knowledge and deliberate practice of Toyota Kata, with a coach alongside to guide you and develop your skills as an improver and coach.
Who is the Toyota Kata Development Programme for?
It will benefit you if you’re:
- An independent consultant who wants to add Toyota Kata Coach to your portfolio of skills
- An internal improvement coach looking to energise an existing lean/OpEx programme in your business
- A leader seeking to develop a scientific-thinking approach in your organisation through the development of yourself and your team
How long is the course?
The training is spread across 10 weeks:
- The first 6 weeks are split into 6 x 90-minute training sessions from our kata expert, Tilo Schwarz, supported by 1-hour coaching sessions with your peers and one of our kata coaches twice a week.
- The final 4 weeks involve coaching sessions in your new learning groups – with kata coach support.
Please set aside 4-5 hours per week for the training and coaching, split between 2 or 3 sessions. You will also be set practical ‘homework’ tasks that will take about 2 or 3 hours per week.
We’ve designed the course to fit around your existing client commitments: early mornings (8am EST) or lunchtime (1pm in the UK and Ireland, 2pm in central Europe).
