2-Day
Value Stream
Mapping Workshop
Do you want to streamline your processes and make your organisation more efficient?
Value stream mapping (VSM) is a powerful tool used in lean and Six Sigma strategies. It allows you to visualise and understand the flow of materials and information required to deliver a product or service to your customers.
How can value stream mapping help you?
A value stream is all the activities needed to take your product or service from raw material to your customers.
So, by identifying and eliminating waste, optimising processes, and creating more efficient workflows, you can improve quality, reduce lead times, increase customer satisfaction and enhance overall productivity.
Course overview
During our 2-Day Value Stream Mapping Workshop, we’ll help you create a current-state and future-state map. This will allow you to identify waste and aim for a target of how material and information should flow through your value stream.
You’ll learn:
- The principles of value stream mapping and its origins
- How to choose the product or service to map using the product/process matrix
- The importance of gathering data and how to identify the right unit of measure
- How to capture the improvements and ‘kaizen bursts’
- How to prioritise opportunities
How to create a future-state map using the principles of takt time, and flow and pull
- How to create effective action plans that set out a pace for implementation and a governance process
Who is the 2-Day Value Stream Mapping Workshop for?
Whether you’re in manufacturing, services or any other industry, the training will give you the knowledge and skills to effectively use VSM.
The workshop is ideal for:
