Associate Coach

Peter is an experienced and skilled coach in the use of Toyota Kata in healthcare. He has more than 20 years’ experience of leading healthcare teams, strategy and transformation programmes.

In 2018, Peter and his team were one of the NHS Improvement teams selected to participate in the Vital Signs programme, which introduced Toyota Kata in the NHS. Peter designed the ‘Dudley Improvement Practice’ method to embed a culture of continuous improvement at Dudley Group NHS Trust. And this method – delivered by Peter and his team – is now recognised nationally as a successful and long-standing approach.

Peter first studied coaching and mentoring as part of an MBA in executive leadership. He’s also trained in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and has achieved the Institute of Leadership and Management Level 7 in coaching and mentoring.

Peter regularly facilitates board development workshops and senior leader programmes on improvement leadership. And he provides coaching and team development sessions to build improvement capability.
