Graham has worked in lean and kaizen consultancy roles for more than 15 years. Before that, he spent 15 years in the manufacturing sector for companies like Toyota, Black+Decker and Pilkington.
Graham has an impressive record in leading lean transformations in various industries, including healthcare and financial services. He’s developed a passion for – and an academic interest in – coaching leaders to be successful in a lean environment.
Graham has presented a paper at the European Lean Educators Conference (ELEC) in Portugal and is one of a select number of consultants accredited to Level 3b in the Lean Competency System.
Always at the forefront of emerging lean thinking, he has a reputation as a skilled practitioner of the Toyota Kata approach to improvement and people-development.
Graham is a founding member of Kata School UK and has led a research workstream for the Lean Enterprise Research Centre (LERC) on the successful use of kata in organisations. And he’s co-authored, with Ann Hill, a chapter on Applying Kata in Healthcare for the book, International Examples of Lean in Healthcare. Plus, he has a master’s degree in manufacturing leadership from Lancaster Management School.
