This one-day workshop will equip you with the practical tools and structured approach to quickly identify, contain and resolve problems in your workplace using the 4C and PDCA methods.

You’ll learn how to:
- Define what a problem is and recognise its impact on performance
- Understand why standards are essential for identifying and solving problems
- Recognise the difference between root cause and direct causes
- Apply 5W2H questioning to gather facts and develop effective countermeasures
- Apply the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle to structure continuous improvement
- Use the 4C (Concern, Contain, Cause, Countermeasure) method for rapid problem-resolution
- Engage teams effectively in fast, evidence-based problem-solving

- Why solving problems fast matters
- Definition of a problem – and how to rewrite vague problem statements into clear, measurable ones
- Standards as the baseline for improvement
- Plan, Do, Check, Act explained – and its connection to kaizen and continuous improvement
- The 4C framework explained – including root cause analysis and preventing recurrence
5 Whys and Ishikawa basics – including performing a 5 Why analysis on a real or mock problem
- Using 5W2H (who, what, where, when, why, how, how much) to clarify facts before acting
- Linking 4C with PDCA
- Exploring barriers to applying rapid problem-solving
- Making a personal action plan
